residents<\/b> and is part of the Mastorochoria cluster of villages. <\/p>\n<p><b> \u2018\u2019Mastorochoria\u2019\u2019 literary means \u2018\u2019The craftsmen Villages\u2019\u2019 <\/b>and are in artistic stone construction skills were known since the 17th century.<\/p>\n<p>The word <b>\u2018\u2019Mastoras\u2019\u2019 <\/b>(\u2018\u2019Mastores\u2019\u2019 in plural) in Greek has the meaning of someone being very good in something, usually in an artistic or construction work. <\/p>\n<p>The Mastores of Mastorochoria were <b>traveling in groups<\/b> to America, Aethiopia, Russia, and France. <\/p>\n<p>Most of their time they were working far away from their families, as their wives and children were living permanently in <b>Mastorochoria<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p>The mountain and <b>rocky Mastorochoria are situated in rural, rough landscapes <\/b>where agricultural activities couldn`t be an occupational option for its residents. <\/p>\n<p>This explains why their interest and dedication to the<b> artistic and construction activities<\/b>, as the rocky environment was an inspirational source for the artistic stone craftsmen. <\/p>\n<p>\u03a3\u03c4\u03b7\u03bd <b>Chionades <\/b>settlement, a neighbouring village of Plikati, were living and working groups of talented <b>artists in Icon painting<\/b> from the 18th century till the mid. of 20th
