Red Tractor certified organic Farm
Red Tractor Farm is a wonderful Eco-friendly accommodation option if you decide to visit Tzia island, or also called Kea.
Within a 10-minute walk from Korissia town, which is the central port of the island, you can reach Red Tractor Farm and be amazed by the charming, whitewashed cottages surrounded by the beauty of nature.
The farm is set in a rural area and is certified as to its owners, Kostis Maroulis & Marcie Mayer, organically grow olive groves and vineyards, and produce organic wines.
Every year, in this working farm are produced 2000 bottles of organic red wine made from ancient grape varietals.
Eco holidays & volunteering opportunities
In Tractor Farm you will enjoy relaxing moments and comfortable holiday stays and in case you feel like volunteering on the farm, it is also possible some months every year.
The eco-cottages are available for rent all year round.
Alternatively, if you want to become an organic farm volunteer and learn sustainable farming techniques, the farm volunteer arrangement all meals & accommodation are provided.
Hiking, cycling, and sailing are highly recommended in the area. You can sails as a local with ‘’Soultana’’, Kostis’ traditional wooden boat, or explore by foot the cobble-stone paths of Kea island.
The eco-cottages of the Farm
In Red Tractor Farm there are four 2 story eco-cottages with two studios each, with separate with private entrance & outdoor garden/seating area.
The names of the four Eco-cottages are:

The ground floor studio sleeps two people and consists of:
Private Entrance, A Double bedroom, W.C./shower, Private veranda, Outdoor Seating area, Electric kettle, Refrigerator
The upstairs STUDIO sleeps
2 + 1 child up to 10 years old
and consists of:
Private entrance
Studio with fireplace
Double bed

The Stone cottage
The ground floor studio of the Stone cottage, is called ”Egg”, sleeps two people and consists of:
Private entrance, Double bedroom, W.C./shower, Private veranda, Outdoor seating area, Electric kettle, Refrigerator
The upstairs STUDIO is the largest of the farm, sleeps up to four people
and consists of:
Two single beds on open loft
Kitchen
W.C./shower

The Vineyard Guesthouse

The story behind the Red Tractor Farm
Kostis Maroulis and Marcie Mayer have spent 10 years building Red Tractor Farm and new innovations and ideas at the farm continue to flow.
Kostis makes organic red wine from ancient grape varietals and produces marmalades and condiments in small batches from RTF-certified organic vegetables.
Marcie began the Acorn Initiative in Kea and runs a small professional acorn cookie kitchen on the farm. She is passionate about loom waving and Hatha yoga and regularly offers both at the farm.
Both Marcie and Kostis are avid sea swimmers as well as hikers and can tell daily where the best walk and swim will be according to wind and wave conditions.
